THE RING CAM STORY
The concept of the ring box camera was developed by three Hope College engineering students in the fall of 2012 with the goal of helping friends record their engagement proposal while keeping the moment private. The company was founded in spring of 2013 by Scott Brandonisio, Scott Bahash, Russell Fyfe, Samuel Tzou, and recorded its first proposal that summer. The team went full time the following year when Brandonisio’s older brother ( also the first proposal video) grabbed the attention of CNN, and a feature on ABC’s Good Morning America.
The team immediately went into the business of helping customers, as well as jewelry stores, celebrate the engagement of couples around the world. As the number of proposals captured each day continues to increase, the company continues to celebrate with its customers through the 24 hour video editing service and proposal pages.
The company now employs 8 total employees and is carried in 375 jewelry retail stores around the world.
