How We Met
We met at the University of Nevada, Reno as students. We first met when I joined a school club, University of Nevada student Ambassadors. Part of joining the club was that you had to give a tour of the University to a director. Luckily for me, my director was Courtney. When I first met her, I thought she was so beautiful. While I gave my tour to her, we talked most of the time about our likes, dislikes, what kind of family we came from, and our summer plans. After the tour was over, I felt pretty good until she failed me and made me retake the tour again! But to my surprise, she was the director who I had to give the tour to the second time. She thought I was disappointed to see her again, but in reality, I was happy that I got to spend more time with this gorgeous girl.
We captured the moment forever.
How He Asked
I wanted to surprise Courtney with breakfast on May 16th, 2016. I took Courtney to Jax’s diner in Truckee, CA. Courtney kept asking me if I was alright and saying that I was acting weird. Once we had our breakfast, I wanted to go to Donner Lake to take pictures. So Courtney and I went off for a quick drive to Donner. Once we arrived, we went on the dock that her and her friend Katie love to go to during summer. We talked while I bought some time by taking pictures. I asked Courtney to stand on the side of the dock so I could take a picture of her. When she got to the side of the dock, she turned around and asked me if I was going to push her off the dock. I nervously laughed, and said, “No, why would I do that?” She laughed, and then said, “I don’t know.” Once she turned around for the picture, I pulled out the ring box and got on one knee. She turned around, and started to choke up and cry. She asked if I was kidding, and I responded, “No, will you marry me?” With tears of joy filling her eyes, she responded with a yes, and we hugged and kissed.
