Every year in the great city of Las Vegas, the best and brightest minds of the jewelry industry come together for what is called “the jewelry industry’s premier event”. This event is JCK and it has an endless amount of networking, education, jewelry, gems, timepieces, and technologies from over 25,300 retailers and exhibitors. When it comes to new and interesting technologies at the JCK event, the place to look is at their Shark Tank competition. Similar to the show Shark Tank, this competition allows new ideas to be pitched to the jewelry industry. If a technology is selected to be presented to the jewelry industry at the JCK event it is considered an honor, as only the five top competitors are allotted a time to present. Directly following the competition, the JCK audience- filled with the industries greatest, vote for their favorite new technology. This year at the 2015 JCK Las Vegas event, Ring Cam, was blessed to take home the JCK Shark Tank award proving it’s rightful place in the jewelry industry. The JCK article writes, “Ring Cam—a small, simple-looking black ring box equipped to capture high-definition video footage and audio recording of a proposal—won with 33 percent of the votes. Founder Sam Tzou’s presentation included a (faux) proposal to JCK editor-in-chief and moderator Victoria Gomelsky, plus clips from some of the 2,000 proposal videos couples have shared in the eight months since Ring Cam debuted. The current business model is a rental one, $99 for three weeks, direct to customers online and to 80 retail stores.”(Click here for full article) We are so excited to share our product with the jewelry industry and most importantly our customers!
